Angela Drewniak, CRNP

Angela Drewniak, BSN, MSN, ACNP-BC is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She was born in Concord, NH and a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, MA. She obtained her Master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center in Houston, TX.

She had worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the transplant medical/surgical units with abdominal transplantation (including liver, kidney and pancreas transplants) for many years prior to transitioning her care to the pain management population. Now, she has been working with the chronic and acute pain management patients since 2015.

Angela also has chronic pain issues and can empathize with her patients about living with chronic pain. She helps them manage their pains with medication, identifying their interventional pain management needs and more holistic methods of pain treatment, including medical cannabis.

She is proud to have been able to transition some of her patients off narcotic therapy by using medical cannabis. These patient’s lives have improved dramatically since they have been able to reduce or discontinue narcotic pain medication. She does understand that different treatments work for different people and is more than willing to work with her patients to find what they need to be able to function with chronic pain.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys; going to the boys sporting events, taking the kids to professional sporting events and spending time in Deep Creek. MD. She loves her job and her patients, and always tries to go the extra mile to help whomever she can. She is proud to be working at the MD Pain and Spine Center with professionals who care about their patients.
